About the tour

On this bike tour, you’ll discover a great mix of second-hand spots in the city — from thrift shops to vintage boutiques. We’ll share shopping tips and give a short intro at each location. After that, you’ll have time to browse around on your own. Looking for something in particular? Our guides are happy to help you hunt it down!

Practical info

There are 15 spots available, and the tour is led by two guides. Both speak Dutch and English. Bringing your friends? Be sure to buy a ticket for each person.

We’ll start at the thrift store Wereldhuis, where you’ll meet your fellow second-hand adventurers and get a quick overview of the morning. From there, we’ll bike from place to place. The total cycling time is about 30 minutes. You’ll need to bring your own bike. No worries if you’re not an experienced cyclist — the route is beginner-friendly. Tip: bring a backpack or panniers for your finds! Eyeing something larger? Many stores offer home delivery.

Halfway through the tour, we’ll take a short coffee break. Coffee, tea, or a soft drink is included in the ticket price. We’ll wrap things up at Edisonstraat in Woensel-West, where there are plenty of great places to grab a bite. If there’s room, we can end the tour with lunch there (at your own expense).

About De Normaalste Zaak van Eindhoven

De Normaalste Zaak van Eindhoven is an initiative by Eindhoven365 (the city marketing organization) and the municipality of Eindhoven. The name is a playful nod to the Dutch phrase ‘de normaalste zaak van de wereld’, or ‘the most natural thing in the world’. Because shopping secondhand and giving things a second life is becoming more and more natural. Our goal is to show that second-hand is not only a smart and sustainable choice, but also a great way to find unique items, save money, and support a circular economy.
